Voltaire, I am not nearly as experienced as you are. This is scaring me. But this is just some analysts opinion, right? Wouldn't M. Dell had given some guidance if there was going to be a shortfall? This is quiet period, so this didn't come from M. Dell, right? Dell is my biggest position (and I'm all in tech) so this is really bothering me.

On why Dan is an idiot. Is Dan smoking dope?

Voltaire:
Get a load of this crap.

...Dell Computer Corp. (DELL) fell as much as 8 3/16 to 93
11/16. BancBoston Robertson Stephens analyst Dan Niles said the
No. 3 personal computer-maker's revenue may disappoint investors
when it reports fourth-quarter earnings Tuesday. Niles said the
stock could fall to 80 ''in the near term'' amid weakness in
sales of personal computers and servers to U.S. corporations. .

If Dan over estimated the numbers, that is his problem, shows he is a top notch imbecile to 1st degree.Hello Dan get a new calculator or something.

....'term'' amid weakness in sales of personal computers and servers to U.S. corporations...'

Must be smoking some'funny, must have inhaled it too.<gg>

Volt man:

These are the principles most people know but end up ignoring. I don't. Just bought @ 93.375. Good luck to all!

"Buy when everyone is selling."

"Buy when there's blood in the streets."

"When the man on the street is buying, that's the time to sell!"

'You have to be greedy when everyone else is fearful."

Voltaire: If I short 310 contracts of ZDEAD, this is 28 3/8 by 29 3/8. The LDEAD's are 16 1/2 by 17 1/4, so they are not enough for me right now. Alternatively, I might do this whole thing at the very end of the day. How angry are your angels right in here---especially the one who is ALWAYS smiling...TIA

Sigh
I cant pick up my robes and go meditate.
First of all I love clothes, especially short brighly colored ones, so the robe is out.
Second I can barely meditate for five minutes at Yoga class: my mind wanders to: stocks, sex, sights and scents, whatever.
So I guess I better begin believing that the markets are manipulated: what a bunch of idiots investors are for taking this stuff so seriously.
Oh, and arent most sellers actually mutual funds? Whats wrong with them? They should know better!!!!!
