Are you assuming NO computers were sold in or before 1996 ? I always complain that my students can't do math. Well I guess I shouldn't. Have to prepaer for today's class now. No more discussion for now.

Less try 750,000 computers sold in 1997.

Then in 1998 it grew by 60% to equal 1,200,000.

750,000 X 60% = 750,000 X .60 = 450,000

750,000 plus 450,000 = 1,200,000

I think this is somewhat more correct.
