That's been the arguement against the boxmakers from the get go. Remember how Wall street avoided them for just that reason. No proprietary product so just a commodity in the end.
Still some of them have soared (stock wise) so someone must see some value. I guess it comes down to earnings and cultist activity.

This was my concern too. However, putting everything together
to do it the 'Dell' way is not as easy as it seems. IMO, Dell
is 'Walmart' in the computer vendor field. But your point
about server is a valid one as that requires much more hand
holding than desktop or workstations.
