Captain,

Didn't you know that Vivus want to return to be a private company!

There is no way I'm averaging down at these prices, I want a real bargain! I hope someone wants to sell to me.

I think the market makers are just shaking the tree looking for weak shares.

Captain,

If we were touching down to 2 3/8 on HIGH volume then I would be concerned. Looks to me like a record low volume for Vivus today. IMO over the past 2 weeks of trading we have seen very little if any real buying or selling and mostly a lot of market maker churning on very low volume. Look at the trading range for the last 2 weeks--not including today's small drop to 2 3/8 we have seen a very narrow range of trading between 2 7/16 and 2 19/32 which is only a 5/32 range. The market makers have a tendency to drop the bid price when there is little buying interest to accumulate shares as cheaply as possible but nobody is forced to sell to them thus the low churning volume.

Seems to me like I'm reading more and more information regarding safety concerns about drugs allowed onto the market these days. This will help Vivus and MUSE sales if and when Vivus can get a partner.
