Hi Tech. How much of a move would make you think the market did react?

Does anyone know if Dell IR can talk about any of this crap at all? The more I think about this "quiet period" thing the less sense it makes. How come analysts can talk it down 2 mkt. days before earnings when everyone's on edge yet Dell can't even make a rebuttal. And if Dell does come up short isn't this going to smell real bad - no new info should be coming out now - RIGHT?

any comments appreciated

You can never predict what the market will do on any one given day. Only see the trends. I thought the market would be up 200 on the news of acquital and who would have thought a relatively mild analysts report on Dell not even saying it would miss eaarnings numbers would send the stock down 12?
the market has not worried abut a clinton conviction for some time now i would say. but it is very worried about the slightest little thing going wrong with Dell which it insists on regarding as a story that is "too good to be true."

<<...shed some light on why you think the market did not respond to the Bill Clinton acquittal?>>

Because investors know that the success of our economy and the strength of the market does not depend on having a liar in the White House. Besides the acquittal in the sham trial is old news. The outcome was known many weeks ago.

The OJ2 (AKA clinton I) trial has long since been discounted by the market. We need another investigation.... say Chinagate to give us another 4-5 months of up market.
