Bob, not to beat this Maria thing to death, but, I think its worth understanding that IR people in most companies are not part of the inner circle. This is typically done for good reason. Its very much like the Press Secretary to the President, you only give the IR person information that they can truthfully pass on to their press contacts. You don't give them information that you don't want passed on, you don't want them to have to deny things that are true or confirm them if you don't want them out. You basically want them to be able to say "I don't know" or "I'm not aware" when it comes to lots of things. As long as those statements are true there is no liability.
