To all of the Kurlak neysayers on this thread: Until recently, he was very prescient. Contrary to opinion, his calls on MU were very accurate. Thus, despite claims that he downgraded MU at the bottom, the record speaks elsewise, and I have posted facts to that nature in the past. Clearly he has been wrong recently on INTC. His record on LSI was excellent until he upgraded LSI this past June at 24 and then downgraded it after the announced shortfall for the 3rd quarter. I realize that analyst bashing has become most fashionable, but I would really like to know who is considered a top flight analyst by people on this thread. One of the ways I evaluate the analysts is to listen to the quality of their questions on the CCs. On that basis, I consider Terry Ragsdale, Tom Kurlak, Gumpert, and Rich Edelstone to be the best semi analysts. I would also point out that ALL OF US (me included) fell flat on our face when we took a shot at predicting future price moves just this most recent spring.
