Kd---Well, clearly you are, as usual, right on top of the subject. Yes, the thrust of your response appears clear, although it is my understanding that LSI, as well as those "IP" suppliers, has a fairly large library of reuable modules ((as well as the large fixed cost of their fabs, to be sure)).
Given the premise that there has recently been something of a deficit in capital investment as regards fabs, wouln't the owners of the more modern, existing fabs be in a position to reap especially large margins in the event that the move to narrower line widths were to resume its earlier pace? ((Which we DPMI investors would welcome))
