Good article on MXTR. If it stays weak, I may pick up some more. Now trading at 15x 1999 earnings after blowing out earnings estimates last quarter. This is a serious value stock.

Symbol dbrsy, it is an overseas play but De Beers is a multinational with operations all over the world covering all aspects of the diamond business. The stock has been beaten down by the Asian crises and the threat that their cartel status will be upset by the influx of Russian diamonds. One thing I like about the company vs any gold company investment is their attempt to build brand recognition for their product. The threat of Russian diamonds is real but my understanding is that the real money in diamonds are in the high quality stones where De Beers excels, in both production and distribution.

I am no expert by any means so you should take the above with the usual grain of salt.
