Program and data locations. Most especially DLLs.

NOW end of story!

True, I was not thinking about programs. As you know and most others may not, most modern REAL OS's let you do this. Unix, VM, MVS, VMS etc all are install once and then the world can run it. Real networking centric structures....

wonder if windows ever will...

Along these lines..I just discovered two folders in D:DI Archives that I didn't put there and I don't want to be there. The folders are MSDOWNLD.TMP and Windows Update Setup Files. This D partition is only for DI image storage and I'd like to move these two interlopers out.
Anywhere on C would be fine. Can I just move them to C w/o repercussion? D is not even an active partition and since I don't understand why these folders were put there I am reluctant to just move them.
