Re: oil prices. I like cheap gasoline as much as the next guy but I don't believe it's in the country's or the world's best interests to keep oil prices so low. Where is the incentive to build or buy fuel-efficient vehicles when gas costs less (when adjusted for inflation) than at practically any time in history? Sometimes when I'm sitting in a jammed 8-lane freeway with gas-guzzling single-passenger SUVs parked ahead and behind me as far as the eye can see, I get the nagging feeling that this is nuts! There can't possibly be enough crude oil in this ol' world to support this insanity for more than a few more decades. And when it's gone, it's gone.
