Sarge:

Bear markets usually end when all hope has been lost. In that sense the sharp OSX rallies that have occurrred on the way down are bearish, not bullish. Shows that the bulls still have not given up.

I personally think the best time to buy is when we enter the dead money zone. The group will then be totally sold out, volatility will be low (few suckers's rallies), and the smart patient money will be slowly accumulating. Nothing wrong with dead money for awhile when one is quite confident the risk is very low and a big upmove is coming. It is losing money in a bear and being tempted to buy myriad suckers' rallies that I object to.

I await the dead money zone with bated breath. The safest time to buy for those will a little patience.
