While this sentence qualifies as a bold assertion, it also blends nicely with the idea that the believers just make assertions.

I remember when KIS pointed out the incestuous relationship between Softbank, E-Trade and Yahoo. it was dismissed as irrelevant.
Look at the stock price of late.

When someone else posted an article saying Motorola was selling their stake in bcst, we were told not to worry. Where is the stock now ?

When others said amzn's model is crap, the answer was "going to new highs."

I think the appearance of supreme confidence is not strongly justified.
