Tony,

Siemen has a DRAM fab somewhat nearby Fab 30. The last time I heard they are still in business. For the Germans, they are highly compensated comparing to the Koreans. This means they must have very high yield to stay alive.

Although most of the residents in Dresden have little experiences in semi, they are highly educated and hard at work. The Germans are known to be perfectionist.

By the way, what prior experience does Isreal has in IC processing? Intel seems to like it and built fabs there.
