Afternoon victor,

Fair comment, I have no objection to the good-natured stuff that Sir Andrew Aguecheek and Movolio partake in, it's the acrimonious stuff that worries me... Too much emotion...

I agree with your comments on the re-evaluation of P/E's for our two favorite computer companies. There does seem to be a bit of light-headed internet craziness surrounding DELL's current status. Having said that, I got into and out of DELL recently for a small profit, I just wouldn't be long (or short) at the moment.

There is an interesting debate on the CSCO thread regarding the lofty P/E's of DELL vs. CSCO. The basic theory is that CSCO can afford to have a relatively higher P/E as it is a market leader with the lion's share of it's market place. In addition, once you strip out the valuations et al of it's recent acquisitions, the P/E is more in line with the industry. DownSouth made a relevant comment: Message 7805410

Anyway, the debate is interesting, but you need to wade through a lot of emotional back and forth between certain members of that thread too...

I am going to plagiarise your strategy for Tuesday. Sell on a pop and back in later...
