The query regarding the possible superiority of the McData switch makes me think that I may have missed something. It is my understanding that McDate has never produced a full speed 1 gig switch. Their full speed switch is really "Brocade Inside."

Is that still the case? Has there been publicity regarding a new McData full speed switch?

Ed, Everybody is shopping for the best of class for the best price. Features and cost are Ancor's strong points and blow the competition out of the water. Ancor is doing a lot of serious knocking these days, prior agreements not withstanding. Nothing would surprise me anymore, especially a McData membership card.
