Not so, if instead of Gold you bought house in Vermont that went down 50% or invested in Indo...
You may have underdevepoped land that you think the near-buy city wants for a shopping mall...In fact you know that even if that does not happen the city would need your land later anyway...But if they need it for Mall the value would jump sooner...
Barrick wanted to buy Argentina gold (argument about future value derailed a deal) The value is a future not present term...Growth is a present term...
