Douglas - IMO PDG are fully if not over extended. Difficult to understand the $4 bid of Barrick's, and I agree with you generally. The danger here (Russell) is for people to get too emotionally involved with this situation - when there is a real possibility that this stock could fall to the mid-$3 level and might be bought back then. An outsider only has 60% of the deal to buy, and the infra-structure costs could be very high on the Argentina side of the border at this altitude. dd

Douglas and Frank, There is only one thing to do, and that is sell ARP and buy GSL. Get 5 for 1. Off course I've been wrong before, and I do still own a little of ARP.

Hello Douglas;

Your thoughts mirrored mine, a few weeks ago I was getting ready to move more cash back into ARP, but held off after digging through an enormous amount of data.

Although the deposit is worthy of more money, we cannot force ABX to pay more................Lordy thats like argueing with the Blackjack Dealer, it can't be done.

Now if there had been a competing bid we would have seen a higher price, and it was these thoughts that held me back, and much of the stuff I previously alluded too.

Basically if one was to do the illimination process, you could actually see who could or couldn't compete with Barrick, and at the moment there are not too many out there, at least not pure gold company's. Now if they could get one of the conglomerates interested?? but then again, that 40 and 9.9 number is a problem IMO??

Don't think it's over, but I don't think we are going to see a price like some here have been jumping on about??

Melnyuk blew it plain and simple, or this story would already have been written??

Now it looks more like who will out last the other, keep drilling, raise more cash, keep drilling raise more cash, and suddenly we have a whole lot more delution??

I think I would bet on the guy that is already producing over 3m oz's/au/yr??.................could this be the beginning of the quiet war of attrition??

With regards,Frank
