By the way, are you sure your hedge fund hedges by buying puts ?
In the money puts are very expensive and by the time you buy a few expirations, the
ENTIRE price of the stock is gone to the premium.

Sarmad,

I asked Michelle on numerous occasions how here shares were hedged. I never received an answer. I suspect I never will. Buying puts will not work as you pointed out.

Sarnad, I dont keep up with his hedging techniques to tell you the truth.... He focuses on 6 positions and hedges them in different ways - I know he was doing the put thing in December last year. He was ranked recently as #1 hedge fund for last year in one of the financial journals... which is not to say he is truly #1 because those rankings are largely advertising, nonetheless last year the fund was a big winner. He is only partially in internet stocks btw.
