Les,

Speaking of polls, I just read an analysis
of the Presidential economies since WWII.
The data focused upon unemployment, inflation,
interest rates and GDP. The Ronald Reagan
Presidency from 80-84 was tops, followed by
the Clinton years 96-now. Poor old Jimmy
Carter was at the bottom of the list. I
don't buy this stuff about how great Bill
Clinton is doing in the polls. I have seen
the "character" numbers running in the low
20's so it just goes to show that the economy
is what people focus on when it comes to how
they judge a President.
