Clarence, couple things.... Pictures are at: netmediasolutions.com so now that you have a working NT system. what are you thinking about for trading software, etc. What do you currently use on the MAC??? some cool stuff to check out.... TC2000 EOD Data and Basic Charting - stockfinder.com QP2 EOD Data and Basic Charting - qp2.com Qcharts RT Data and Basic Charting - quote.com AIQ/Mytrack RT Data and Charting - aiq.com All have free 30 day evals. There is a plethora of trading and investment software for PC's.... Also I don't ever know if oyu reached resolution with the matrox driver install. Matrox's driver is complex especially when it comes to monitor setup. Its very powerful though. You basically have two choices: use windows monitor definitions use matrox monitor definitions. I prefer the second option. In most cases using either windows or Matrox VESA Plug and Play monitor setting will yield good results. Key is 75Hz refresh. I don't see a evidence of need for higher than 75-80 Hz. I see flicker ay 72 but not at 75. Thats me. opionions are like a#$#$(*'s. Anyway. if vesa plug and play works you may be happy. sometimes this will not list all posssible modes and certain not match the specs of your monitor. The best way I've found to setup the monitor is use Matrox's defintions. There defintions are customizable for any monitor. If your monitor is not listed or is missing a mode. Simply find a monitor that is similar to yours. Get out your Monitor manual and program the matrox monitor setup to match your specs. Save as a custom monitor with the Some unique name and your ready to go. Matrox has test patterns to test all the settings while your doing it and can even adjust some picture parameters. Generally takes about 20 Minutes but yields the best results and is worth the extra effort. Especially if you want 100Hz+ refresh rates etc etc... IMO the most often overlooked mode seems to be 1152x864 which of course I love on a 17" monitor especially if you only have only 2M of VRAM. If all this is confusing you might want to just play around a little , ask some more questions here (since I brought it up again), or even talk to matrox. Sean

OS Loader My memory failed me about the OS Loader on the work machines. They all have it, even the single boot machines. They all have at least two options..NT and NT VGA. The default setup is 30 seconds in all cases except the ones that have been changed. The boot.ini file looks just like (I think) the one Spots posted. I surmise that Jon set yours to zero as he understood you to want a bios dual boot in lieu of the OS loader. I do not think KOTs are in the textbooks. It is still a puzzle how it booted. The reference was to the second drive that did not have an NT install..at least not when you received it. Sometime when you have nothing better to do you could extract the boot.ini file from the first Drive Image and take a look at the original configuration...as you received it. Zeuspaul
