Rocky -

It's hilarious that you speak of people losing their credibility, and that you do so in a post which contains so much wild exaggeration and so many outright untruths.

>>Iomega Zip used to be the best-selling product at many online retail houses. It isn't even close to it now.<<

Guess again. In fact, it's in the top 10 at computershopper.com, as reported here on this thread just today. It is the top selling item in its category. That's close enough for me.

>>OEM Zip used to be the most common removable built-in drive. Now Superdisc is installed standard in the best-selling PC's in the world.<<

OEM Zip is still by far the most common removable built-in drive, available from all 10 of the top 10 computer manufacturers, including the ones who also offer SuperDisk in some models. Superdisk is not even in one tenth as many machines.

Sorry to have to point out facts to you. I hope this doesn't shake up your carefully constructed reality.

<Just today on 24th Street I saw a man unloading his brand new computer system. On top of his car was a brand new HP CD-RW drive. No Zip.

No Iomega. No need for them.>

This PROVES it! Run for the hills!!!!!!!!!!

"Just today on 24th Street I saw a man unloading his brand new computer system. On top of his car was a brand new HP CD-RW drive. No Zip."

Hmm, the only time I would put a computer on the top of my car, where it would be liable to fall off when I shut the door or otherwise rocked the vehicle, would be when I were taking it to the junkyard or some computer shop for a trade in and I didn't care what happened to it. It's a shame he was so unhappy with his "brand new system" that he had to unload it. Did you buy it from him? (Was it hot?)

Do you know whether the computer the man bought to replace it with had a Zip drive or not?

Gee, Rocky, this is like shooting fish in a barell. I haven't had as much fun since "Bull" was on these boards.
