Brian how do you come up with 6-7 times sales ? AMATs trailing P/E is over 100. Go to Yahoo and look it up. This valuation comes close to the Internuts already even if some of those have P/Es over 1000 or none at all I have to admit. Anyway, my prediction stays. If we do not fall tomorrow we will slide back slowly after options expiration. In any case, we will see the 50s again before we can go to the 70s !

Brian: I have to post here another contribution from the Yahoo thread which hits the nail on the head in my opinion:

"Chips makers, chips users will get shot tomorrow. How long do you think the equipment makers will hold their current lofty valuation. Let's see, by the year 2001, AMAT will earn as much as their 1996 #. WOW Based on todays close, AMAT is trading 44 time year 2000 earning. This is the ANALyst #, how often do you think they're right 1-2 years in advance."
