What I didn't tell you back during the "racist" scrap was that my stepmother is a Costa Rican national. It was she that sat me down and explained, in detail, and with many examples, all about the Latin American attitude toward North American Investments. At the time, I was discussing buying into a teak plantation. She will not allow my father to invest in any Latin American companies. He does have some real estate investments and does hold some dollar denominated mortgages.

Look for anything regarding the Latin American countries. You will find reference to the anti-corruption projects going on in every country.

I really don't want to drag out an old argument and fight it again. If we disagree, then we will just have to live with it.
