Kerry,I'll put everything on black-29 er... make that SCMI Well black-29 was up a good chunk today...I thought I'd update you and let you know that the black-29 no longer trades as SCMI, its new ticker is HITT. Its actually had 4 tickers since I posted to you less than two months ago. As one enthusiastic poster put it:Message 8773101 From SCMI to SCMID to HITS to HITT to glory and to a double digit stock sooner than expected Now I figure that if a stock is worthy of four tickers, it is surely worthy of no less than four threads on SI, and SCMI/SCMID/HITS/HITT comes through in this regard. There's the original "SCMI Rocking and Rolling Company has big expectations" thread: Subject 19523 The "Hitsgalore.com : Is their business model valid ?? " thread: Subject 26162 Then there's the "HITSGALORE.COM (HITS)" thread: Subject 26842 And finally there's the newest thread "HITSGALORE.COM (HITT)" Subject 27286 What happened was that HITSGALORE.COM was merged with SCMI, which is in the internet hits business. Evidently they did quite well, and produced 1.5 million hits per month through their banner advertising business. They decided to change their ticker to HITS. But someone else got that ticker symbol by doing a NASDAQ filing, so SCMI requested HITT which isn't a bad alternative. I think that HITS would have been better though, since its a common word which is easy to remember. Too bad they didn't get it. They released partial financial information in a PR the other day:biz.yahoo.com Gross sales revenues for March, related to the website at hitsgalore.com , were $243,981....an increase of 60% over the previous month.... income from operations of $289,494.87 (62.4% of gross sales revenues). 60% month-to-month sales growth, 62.4% gross margin.... looks good....Hitsgalore.com projects positive cash flow .... Positive cash flow.... sounds good .... wonder what "projects" means? from its unique business model of giving away free lifetime banner placements. The company believes this compares favorably with other Internet portals and search engine companies that generally report net losses, such as Lycos, Inc. (Nasdaq:LCOS - news), Excite, Inc. (Nasdaq:XCIT - news), and Infoseek Corporation (Nasdaq:SEEK - news). And unlike Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO - news), Hitsgalore.com does not rely on advertisers purchasing space on its website. Wow its equal to or better than all those great companies!the website is taking over 1.5 million hits per month. 1.5 million hits per month - that's 18 million hits per year!!!In addition, Hitsgalore.com anticipates additional future revenues from its recent acquisition of the Internet Division of Solvere, Inc. "additional future revenues" is surprisingly wishy-washy statement. ... several innovative projects in the pipeline.... Sounds good. Solvere has previously partnered with such industry leading companies as Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT - news), MCI (Nasdaq:WCOM - news), Cisco Systems (Nasdaq:CSCO - news), Compaq Computer (NYSE:CPQ - news), and Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HWP - news). Wow some more great companies, even Bill Gates is on side. The figures reported by the company are internally prepared and have not been subjected to audit. The stated net revenues are before any amortization, depreciation, or allowance for taxes. Net income for the quarter prepared in accordance with GAAP will be lower, accounting for significant non-cash items associated with the company's capitalized costs of programming and depreciation on its computers, other equipment and furnishings and leasehold improvements. Looks like the net profit margin might be a fair bit lower than 62.4% due to some additional cash costs (furniture, equipment) and some significant non-cash items. Regards, John Sladek
