To Drew, CTC, Kemble, Don, Donnie, Arthur, Voltaire, Cricket and everybody else who I dont have room to mention:
But most of all to all new Dellheads (or shareholders who are considering holding long term and therefore becoming "Dellheads")

Many of the posts I read on the DELL thread yesterday astonished me. I am just beginning to be a steady calmer investor so I am wondering about the emotional makeup of the people who wrote some of the posts. What nonsense. What drivel. DELL is a fine, well managed company. Maybe it got "ahead of itself" or maybe it didnt. That's the stock market, isnt it?
The despair, the name calling, the fear and the disappointment were (I hope) short lived. All in all its the numbers that count and the numbers were great, even if not "great enough" for what we expect out of DELL. What were we all expecting when we said "Dell is the next Dell?" Maybe another stock is the "next performer of the decade" maybe it isnt DELL. But Dell will continue to be a stellar performer and although the stock may not give thousands of percent upside in the next few years, it isnt going to underperform the market either. There isnt anything wrong with looking for another company that is small and starting out that will do for us what Dell has done for many of us before with part of your money. But to sell your shares? To give up? Where will you find another company witht this kind of record-continuing record?
And for the people who had predicted a higher stock price than we have right now and were castigating themselves: Lighten up on yourselves! If those of us reading here believe predictions we are being extraordinarily silly. Predictions are guesses, on this stock or any other. There isnt anything wrong with predicting and no "predicter" is guilty of hurting anyone.
Good luck to everyone.
New Dell shareholders, just relax and grin you'll be fine.
We probably will have lots of new ones today too, buying at a great price. Welcome to all of you and join the forum.
