BGR, Where we disagree is not that Dell will not do well, but that it will do well enough to justify its ridiculous valuation. I think it hasn't got a snowball's chance in Needles, and you think it's a done deal. We have to wait and see on this one.

dell future.....points to ponder...

we must conclude dell has excellent management...at it's current growth rate, definately not stumbling as some claim...a company can't remain static...you site intc...a perfect example, was at a "strategic inflection point"...and grove changed directions...

dell is doing this...china manufacturing...anyone with international business acumen knows china prefers not to import, rather consumes that which is made within...risky on the part of dell..but it is a burgeoning market for technology..low end machines...not being forced by inventory problems, but able to enter if they decide to, a market with a specific designed product..entering the low end forward, not backwards..

most importantly for dell to survive, they have to consider the path that e.p. took in the dec purchase...become a full service company...head to head with ibm...dell now outsources service...this may change in the future...long term prediction ibm, cpq, dell...still the major players..not just in boxes but total enterprise solutions...

we are only scratching the surface of technology expansion...if tech falters with new product, so does the world economy...doubt it will happen in my lifetime!

oh...and don't forget europe in growth areas...

Betting on a business transition can be a good bet when a stock is cheap ... risky, but when if it works you can make a lot of money.

But DELL isn't cheap ... yet.
