>>do you still focus on the BKX

I thought that I had found the Holy Grail when it comes to day trading with a methodology that took positions short or long based on confirmation by the BKX, SOX, NDX and a couple of others. Basically when everything was on a buy for each day -- then I'd day trade aggressively on the long side. If everything was on a sell, I'd day trade aggressively on the sell side. Otherwise I'd stand aside as far as day trading was concerned. Really a filter -- and it worked out incredibly well esp when I combined it with the turning points that were posted.

Everything fell apart over the last week when this stopped working the way it had -- and that is part of the reason for the draw-down that I went through --but it was also the reason for the superior returns that I was achieving until things went awry.

So at this point I am not sure how to use these indices
