There's probably nothing they can do. In fast market conditions you're usually on your own if you place market orders. I learned my lesson the hard way and stick with limit orders when the market is going crazy.

According to the large 1 day chart on Yahoo it looks correct at 82 and change around 9:50-10:00 Like Ashley said market orders can be dangerous. Stick with limit orders and your not in or out unless you hit your order price.

Probably not much can be done: if you want a certain price and you REALLY want that price only you have to put in a limit order. Remember though with a limit order the order may not fill.
