Michael Dell interview is summarized in Internet Merger Mania section of netcognizance.com CNBC also interviewed Dan Miles, the BBRS analyst who called DELL's numbers on Friday. He indicated that he did not get guidance from DELL, but used outside sources on computer sales. Since other companies like CPQ and IBM had already reported numbers, it was possible to do some calculations, which were used to write the report.
