kevin AMD's Razi on national TV cnbc-fnn preempted Intel Barrett stating AMd test results show the K-6III will outperform the PentiumIII. Good artical in the WALL street Jouranl indicated AMd had only one production facility to match intel's six. we need AMD PR department to get the word out on Dresden or Pual need to burn down another Intel plant.

Kevin - Re: "And if it were true, it would still be a factor of 2X in Intel's favor.. Wrong again, Paul. Here's the benchmark to prove "

Nice switcharoo.

First you talk about cost....then when you are proven wrong, you switch to performance.

Either way, it doesn't much matter.

The K6-3 will be AMD's last gasp until the K7 comes out. ANd the K6-3 will only be available in small quantities.

By that time, the Pentium III will be shrunk to 0.18 microns and have its own 256K on-chip L2 cache.

Not to mention 600 MHz speeds - and up.
