Egg timer my ass. Jim Zucco said "Shiva's industy-leading technology, combined with a renewed focus on making that technology even more reliable and cost-effective, sends a clear message to the marketplace: we are committed to delivering the next generation of remote access to satisfy the growing demand for business connectivity." From the get to know Jim Zucco Shiva 1997 Annual Report.

The company is winning awards for the Lanrover product and all we read in the proxy is why the company can't survive. It simply not true. Intel, Jimmy, and the board have sold us down the river or for better words "left us for dead"

I hope the merger go down in defeat. Why would anyone vote for messed up deal considering Shiva has shareholder equity of 131 million and Intel is only offering 185 million? Most people are going to lose money. Do they have the votes? Surely, the shareholders lawyers would know how many shares their clients have control over. Top management holds few share so one would think the merger is unlikely to happen. So, why aren't the May 7.5 calls more active. If ten or twelve is the price one would think there would be more positions open. I've purchased shares after the 1/22/99 date and those share were not placed on the proxy I received yesterday. The volume keeps dropping and that has me thinking people are holding on. If you think the deal is dead then why wouldn't you buy the calls? The market come a long way since October. Just my thoughts.
