A disclaimer in view of a private communication that I received I post signals based on my system because I know based on other communications that I have received that some find it of value. I have repeatedly stated that although the system makes money --- in fact, good money -- provided all the signals are taken, only half the trades turn out to be winners -- but the $win/loss ratio makes it worthwhile. This has been based on past experience -- I make no representations as to how well or badly the system will fare in the future. For anyone who started following my signals and trading them starting the past week or two, I am sorry that it has not worked out -- but that is life; if it is any consolation, it has not been a good period for me either. I post all my system trades in the S&Ps' generally real time -- win, lose or draw. I have no compunction about stating when I lose money on a trade, unlike some who post on SI, who never seem to lose money trading and never have a losing trade. I am diversified into three markets all of the time and sometimes more markets -- and when I go through a severe draw-down in one particular market, trades that are going my way in another market help me out. My reference to the short yen trade was not intended to excuse the losing trades in the spoo -- it was intended to state a fact -- that I was short the yen -- and I posted that well before the yen broke. Trading index options based on the signals may or may not work and I have stated that previously. Finally, trading futures is a tough game -- and that is why 90% of traders lose; if you are not able to take responsibility for your decisions and trades and the financial risk entailed, then stay the heck out trading futures -- and for that matter, options or any other type of instrument. Although, this is a response based specifically on the comments of one individual, I am posting it in public because it needs to be said lest there are others who have not voiced this to me -- and also because this individual claimed that others have expressed the same sentiments to him/her.
