Jules and others,

PTEC needs an "Intel inside" like advertising campaign and some new product names. Some examples might include:

Quick Boot: Advertisement: Two people rush to a computer and hit the power button at the same time. The first gets on the net and buys a stock that immediately starts to moves up. The other person waits. "Make sure your system has Phoenix boots." A new Phoenix logo of boots that look like very fast running shoes.

Alternative advertisement: A male teen turns on his system and sends a beautiful girl an email asking he out and she replies yes.

The second male teen turns on his system and waits.

First teen walks away smiling saying: "Thank you quick boot."

Secure Boot: A Shady looking character tip-toes up to a computer and hits the escape key and looking very smug starts to transfer money to his bank account.

Second shady looking character tiptoes up to a computer with a new Phoenix boots logo (very solid and secure looking boots), hits the escape key and nothing happens. The clock moves forward a couple of hours and he the same character with a very frustrated look walks away shaking his head.

"Make sure your system is securely booted."

Internet repairman boot: Customer one gets new computer, plugs it in and nothing happens. He then is seen packing the system up and his kid is crying.

Customer two gets a new computer plugs it in and nothing happens. He makes a quick call, the system gets repaired over the net in minutes, and his kid is happy playing a game on the computer. The father grabs a beer and hugs his wife. "I remember when a repairman took days to arrive."

A new Phoenix computer icon of a repairman character with boots traveling through phone lines.

Come on Jack and Laurent let's get the users demanding our software! Now is the time to act!

I wonder how many investment bankers PTEC has put to sleep when they say they mention synthesizable cores? How about changing the name to communication enabling software or embedded communication software?

Any other ideas out there?

Btw: Anyone know anything about the big blocks that traded today?
