Hi Ish, you'll appreciate this... don't know who else here will. Picked up my new (new to me) 4wd pickup yesterday evening, took it out early and put it through some paces. Did real well, provided complete satisfaction. Japan-made Toyota, 2.8 diesel, basic tropical truck, no fancies but huge ground clearance and a low-ratio 4 drive that gives torque you wouldn't believe came from a 4-cylinder engine. '95, has some miles but the previous owner is a British mechanical engineer; I know the guy well and he's totally meticulous with machines. Real well kept. Just what we need for hauling kayaks up into the backwoods and dealing with the rainy-season floods.

Pretty good deal all in all.

#3 would be in West Central Illinois, the burg is so small it's not on the map.

So what tiny hamlet are you referring to? I'm heading up thataway in April and it might be a good place to stop for lunch.
