Here in CA Diesel is actually more expensive than Super Unleaded. How does Diesel compare to gas in the islands?

Lots of serious hunters like the Toyota 4X4s. The diesel should last forever and in your warm climate you don't have the problems of your fuel gelling. In mud you are better off with a lighter truck like your Toyota. When I used to drive the mud roads in the river bottoms in my Suburban it felt like I might bury in to the frame. When I would take the Jeep Wrangler that weighed 1/4 as much I never got that sinking feeling. I did get the feeling that the steering wheel didn't matter much but I steered more with the gas pedal than the wheel in that slop.
