You are absolutely correct. The returns of an average investor would be greatly multiplied if one has the foresight to sell when valuation is excessive and the patience to ride out the bear in cash (I lack the latter). It is not pleasant to watch gains erode from lofty levels, but it is much more painful to watch the opportunity train pass by after you gave away your ticket.

Ok what do feel we are in now? Let all out. And why do you hold ATHM if you feel we are in a bear market?
