"3rd qtr earnings will be out likely no later than 4/15 (45 days after qtr end)."

JDN,

Retirement has impaired your counting skills. April 15 will only be 15 days after quarter end. <gg>

JDN: Q3 Earnings estimates: Q3 is where money from MEP should show up. At least, this is where I've pencilled it in. My reasoning is that MEP had the training seminars scheduled for Jan., so figure they bought the CDs and now have the extension agents out hawking the service. So figure about $3 million in CD sales. Can MEP's 400 offices generate 1,000 database hits/week? That's 2.5 hits per office average. So I think MEP is a wild card in figuring Q3. It could add between $.10 to $.20 to Q3 - if the CD payment occurs in Q3. And it certainly won't hurt things if it doesn't occur in Q3 since it would shove it forward into Q4.

JDN,

In theory, I wouldn't disagree with anything you have mentioned here. Unfortunately, blockbuster earnings haven't moved this stock so forgive me if I'm skeptical that any future earnings announcement will alter this pattern. The other variable you mention (whether JJ handles all of it correctly) ....well, I guess I'm a little more confident that earnings will move the price.

I'm not trying to knock JJ. Everyone has their strengths and his are considerable. At this point in their new history, however, he can build the business, but he's good at keeping it a secret whether that is by necessity or not. Its tough for any one person to have the whole package. Maybe they need to let go of some of their newfound wealth and work the other side of the business by increasing shareholder value. There are many companies from which to benchmark that kind of effort!

Good luck to us all no matter how we play it!
