They were probably swamped with calls about the CPUID.
Maybe you should request a deal on the Pentium IIIs with the CPUID turned on...

It will be a failure for AMD as they have to early-announce their K6-III and claim it will beat a Pentium III - as long as they add 2 MegaBytes of L3 cache !
