pardon my ignorance, but could someone explain what this previous post means. Thank you (p.s. I do not hold shares in dbcc but am trying to learn a little about this game--my shareholdings include cmgi, wind, savly, bill and other more conservative equities)---BB

<Based upon MKTWs close today DBCCs interest in MKTW, alone, is ~$ 8.28/share*. Given DBCC closed at $14.31 today the market is pricing DBCC shares [sans MKTW] at ~ $6.03<

The math sounds correct, except for the fact that the market discounts these kind of holdings by 40-50%(there are lots of examples, but, the TSQD/DRIV example is the easiest to calculate from). Assuming the more conservative 40%(equal to $4.97/share) and the pre-MKTW value of DBCC($3), its easy to see that the realistic value of this mess is $8.
