Well I don't think Gordon uses the scanner for anything but the lessons. Otherwise he says he can see things easier on a printout.

I am beginning to keep a notebook too. I suppose all the physical chart services are out of business or on the 'net...

One small detail is that they used to keep charts on paper with very small grid lines (each square was
1/16 of a point). These type of gridlines just don't work on a monitor or on your printer--they're too close together.

Ultimately a chart on a computer screen is not as tangible as a good printout, much like a book. Which is not to say that a lot can't be accomplished with a computer...I'm not anti-technology or anything, but you look around SI and you see some people getting bogged down in the technology or overwhelmed by information, myself included.
