tippet,

DELL is doing extraordinarily well by all measures (margin, ROIC and diluted EPS growth) on the profit front, but stumbled in the revenue front.

As for whether or not DELL is grabbing revenue share, you have already acknowledged that DELL is indeed grabbing market share in units. Now, DELL's ASPs has been firmer than it's competitors. Hence, DELL must be gaining revenue share as well.

Now to note a few valid concerns that you have raised:

Is the entire PC market growing in terms of revenue, I am not sure any more. I am also worried about DELL's foray in the sub1K market which may help revenue but hit margin.

Tippet, if you want to talk about profits, there is no question. Dell is clearly ahead of the pack (in fact, it appears to have lapped the pack). Dell clearly shows the greatest profit growth of any competitor.
