>>What are thoughts on last week now that you've had a day and a half to think about it? What is your "feeling" for the market going forward?

Has it only been a day and a half? It feels like a month <g>. I think I'll leave the forecasting to people more qualified, like my nephew, Voltaire, the Oracle of Dell. I'm more concerned with analyzing my own moves during February. I was foolish, despite my strong belief in dell, to leave my incredible portfolio returns for January (+27.4%) unguarded. I'm going to take steps to insure that failing doesn't re-occur. Buying protective puts in early February, as some of my wiser colleagues did, would have been an outstanding move. Currently, I am leaning towards moving into a covered call positions on all of my core holdings to reduce my volatility as we move into what has traditionally been a choppy period following 1Q earnings reports.

I hope someone more qualified than I will respond to your query about forward market direction.

Humbled, bloody, but still in the Game,
Frank

Teflon,

This market never ceases to amaze me...but, right now nasdaq looks a bit tired.

Reading posts across SI, it amazes me the kind of expectations investors have in the short term. The Nasdaq is up over 77% since October!

I think it's natural for a little bit more of a correction and at least some serious sideways action for a while. I just don't see the techs having the energy to jump back up right now as they have in the recent past.

At least I HOPE the above is the case...it is in markets like these that the patient investor sees "his pitch" come his way.

I want to knock something out of the ballpark in the upcoming weeks in the way of a AOL, CSCO, or AMAT (which is performing like heck right now...semi equips look like leaders amidst this mess) correction.

Damn, I've got to get off this thing!
