Interesting... I also saw one called "Eznet" on freshmeat a few days ago that claims to do the same thing.

Does anyone recommend EzPPP, kppp etc. connect tools ... ?

WvPPP (Weave PPP) is pretty slick. There are compiled packages available for Deb and RedHat (rpm).

I have a question- How do I, outside of using a powerful electo magnet, zap the entire contents of a hard drive and MBR? In proceeding to re-install a different distribution of Linux, I fdisked... well wait, that's much too long of a story. What I HAVE is a 2gb HD with a 500mb DOS partition visible to DOS fdisk (no non-DOS partitions visible). Running fips from the CDRom, I show additional zero byte partitions. The RadHat install, hoses, presumably to do with the persistent LILO on the MBR, or those ghost partitions.

How do I just wave a magic wand over this and make it a 2gb HD ready for partitioning and installation?

Thanks-
