gabriel, first of all, use common sense.

can we agree units were up 12-15%? idc said 12% and another organization said 15%. ok, i don't trust them so let's say 10-17%. ok, let's just say 17% and be as optimistic as possible. unrealistically so, in fact.

so 1.17 * .85 = 1. therefore, in order for revenues to be flat, asps would have had do decrease by 15%. any more of a decrease and you would have negative revs.

follow me so far?

how much lower are asps this q vs a q ago? are they higher? no way. are they lower? yep.

how much, that is the question. best buy said 25% if i remember correctly. every company that has announced it has bee above 15%. in fact, some are as high as 30%.

does this make sense? well, the fastest growing market is the above $3k line, right? nope. it is the sub $1k market. will that help support asps? nope. there is now a powerful hwp business box for $700. maybe cheaper now. i NEVER recall anything even CLOSE to that last year.

using the most positive of pc unit growth and coupling that with all the information reported by various companies leaves you with the logical conclusion that pc revs were negative.

i'm not making this up. i don't own idc and i'm not paying them to say 12% or 15%. i don't own bby and i didn't get them to manipulate their asp numbers.

Using 11 week high low bands shows that a DELL SELL SIGNAL would occur if DELL closes below 66 this
coming Friday. Will it happen ? I do not know.
Also the mid quadrant stands at 67.

That's the TA point of view !!!

Any fundamental point of view ???
