Doc, re the Japan Small Co funds, I was lucky enough to buy into the Warbug Pincus Japan Small Co fund last year. It and the Fidelity Japan Small Co Fund are the only ones I know of in this sector.

I had been reading how Japanese Small Companies were as undervalued an asset class as anyone could find anywhere in the world. Couple that with academic research that shows that small companies outperform coming out of a recession, and I think we have a winner. Japan's recession, or depression or whatever, is 9 or 10 years long, so I figured that Japan Small company's would eventually go bonkers. I didn't know when, but making the bet after a 9 or 10 year recession is fairly good odds, I would say. Looks to me like it may have begun this past 3-4 months. And like you say, there has been no press on this. But this is sure to change, especially when we get the 1st Quarter Mutual Fund performance lists, and these two japan small co funds are toward the top.
