>I'd bet that most, if not all, of the "sexual accusation" plots were hatched by, and backed by the right wing fringe of the GOP.<

Well certainly not all, my friend. You forget the big kahuna the left hatched re: Clarence Thomas. That was a sexual accusation plot that had no basis whatever, and yet the left made it into a spectacle.

>If some of the "victims" happen to have registered as Democrats means very little. I used to be a registered Republican, before the party fell victim to the Religious Right.<

Sure. At least one of these victims worked on a Clinton campaign. I guess this still makes her a Republican “religious radical”.

>"Veritable hoards"? Up to now President Clinton has been found guilty of two affairs, which is still not up to the Livingston level.<

You really miss the point. On purely the basis of Anita Hill's accusation about comments of pubic hairs and other nonsense, the left put on their pointed shoes and came after Clarence Thomas's eyes and head. Here we had one little woman who was clearly ideologically opposed to Clarence Thomas, making an accusation and it became a worldwide spectacle. Today we have not just one woman making accusations re: Clinton, but hoards of them, this, about such things as groping, sexual assault, threats, intimidation and pure rape.

>OTOH, for every celebrity there are hoards of stalkers. If Clinton hadn't been such a strong leader, he wouldn't have had so many enemies.<

What a remarkable defense. I wonder why Clarence Thomas's supporters failed to use it.

>The Religious Right has a lot of money and a lot of power. If not, how do you explain the fact that US dues payments have been withheld from the United Nations mostly because the United Nations has programs that assist poor countries with family planning…<

Because there are people in the Senate who believe the UN is a terribly inefficient money- wasting poor excuse for an “organization”. Some of them believe this organization should not be in the business of exporting, via US dollars, America's infatuation with death (masquerading as “family planning”) to other countries. There are other reasons America does not want to pay the UN, but I hardly think them reason to claim the dreaded “Religious Right” is in control of the women who have made sexual accusations against Clinton. Dear me, my friend.

>Untrue. Supporters of President Clinton have been very vocal condemning his sexual tryst in the WH, and condemning him stepping into a perjury trap when he knew that his enemies, including Ken Starr, were after him.<

Sure. They have “condemned” him alright. With Democrat condemnation, one certainly does not need friends.

>I blame the Republican Party for abusing their majority power. I don't think that the public will trust the Republican Party, again, with majority power, for a long time. The Republican Party's abuses have nothing to do with Clinton's transgressions.<

Well. In the darkness of Clinton's abuses, I can hardly see any abuse of Republicans. So help me. Please list all these “abuses” that you claim are so awful as to cause you to leave the Republican party.

>True. But, we must also recognize Clinton's great leadership talents and his stamina. Unfortunately, President Clinton is not perfect.<

You are correct. But this is no defense of a man who continues to lie even after having been flatly caught.

>Fortunately he is an excellent President and leader, as is recognized by 70% of the people.<

(grin) Sure. He is your president. He simply does not make the cut to be mine.

Robert, res- <<<Fortunately he is an excellent President and leader, as is recognized by 70% of the people.>>>

In descending order the characteristics of admired leaders are:
1. Honesty
2. Trust
3. Vision
4. Forward-Looking
5. Inspiring
6. Competent
7. Fair Minded
8. Supportive

If you believe these characteristics describe William Jefferson Clinton than you have been hiding in a hole for the last 6 years! :-)
