CompUSA did get something right IMO. When I first purchased PMA I was surprised (negatively) at the weight of the box. I had expected something more tangible for my money. I think adding weight was one of the points CompUSA made. As to what comes with PMA, I personally would like to have a manual. Maybe not an overly detailed manual, but something substantive. Just my view and probably not shared by a lot of you. I think I'm of the older school. What CompUSA hasn't got right is their business. I haven't checked for sure lately, but I think in the last year their stock is down 60% or so. Well, with the reports I've had on the quality of the sales force, I'm not surprised. With this kind of performance....service.....retailing.....what does it matter if CompUSA boots PMA? Sure, I hope PMA gets back on their shelves, but if it does I hope it is in the right location in every store and the sales people are informed about it enough to be of help in selling it. Wishful thinking. JMHO> Anyway, the boot from CompUSA should be a wakeup call for the people responsible for selling PMA. That's the silver lining. And, I agree with others that on-line marketing and on-line PMA would be great as would PMA coming installed on Dell, Compaq, IBM, etc. But. I also put substantial value on having PMA on the shelves of major retailers....preferably the ones that are holding on to their stock price!, e.g. Staples, Wal-Mart -- Oh, and by the way, has anyone knowledge of what Dr. Clarke is doing to assist with PMA? I've not heard/seen his name for ages and just wondered if anyone knew what he might be doing to help.
