<<I have time on my side>>Dataminer, good luck...you will have to be
very patient with this one. There is no sponsorship in this stock and
without it, I am afraid it will languish for quite a long time and
may even go down further. The co. has warned that it will not make '99
projections...maybe you could tell me what you see that will move this
stock besides a hope and a prayer. I don't see anything in the foreseeable future, fundamentally.

Bill

Have been watching this stock for quite some time now.

I am usually pretty good at picking bottoms (just not a good momentum investor). My research indicates that his is a terrific company beaten down recently by one or more mutual funds dumping their positions almost without regard for price. My instincts tell me Monday is as good a time as ever to establish a sizeable position in this company and I will be doing so.

The reason for the recent selling is not clear, but it could have been one of the mutual funds just placing a phone call to John Cassese sometime before earnings asking him what he thought about earnings and future prospects of his company. Perhaps he did not take them seriously enough and answered in his monotone voice that the future of CHRZ was not as certain as it used to be. That is all these funds itching to raise cash and offset capital gains needed to hear to start the dumping. It seems they sold their shares in thirds, with the first third taking the price down from 29 to 20 in a few days, the second third was dumped over a period of two weeks, the price hovering between 17 and 21. They were nice enough to wait until the middle of the conference call to begin dumping the last third which took it from 18 to where it is now.

The analysts seemed not too happy with the performance of Cassese who sounded like he was reading off cue cards. (How many times can you
say e-commerce is the new paradigm without expanding on the concept and expect to get away with it?) Cassese may indeed know exactly
where to take this company in the next five years, but he evidently had trouble communicating it effectively, hesitations in answering questions and all. Quite unlike that fellow over at IMRS who usually has the analysts on the edge of their seats during a conference call. That may be one reason why the market values IMRS at two or three times the PE of CHRZ. Anyway, CHRZ may want to look into getting someone else to moderate a conference call, the performance of Cassese was truly abysmal.

It seems to me the price bottomed out somewhere around 12.5 with that climax of selling on earnings day and the day after. With the announced stock buyback beginning on Monday (or maybe last Friday) now is the time to establish a position and I will do so on Monday, if possible. With the tendency of CHRZ to spike up a few points unexpectedly I may not be able to get my shares at the price it is now, but I will try. To all you longs, hang in there, the ride should be up from here.
