DIVX is a specialised form of DVD promoted by Zenith. DIVX is not a specialized form of DVD. Look at the DVD spec and you won't find anything like DiVX discussed. DiVX is CC's attempt to take an open standard, and pollute it with proprietary extensions. The rough equivalent of saying DiVX is a specialized form of DVD is like saying NT is a specialized form of Java just because it runs Java programs. I'm not sure if this is by telephone or by internet. Phone lines. DiVX machines dial up and communicate your viewing patterns and credit card to some unknown entity on a regular basis. This is a very, very bad idea and to say the least, DiVX sales have been underwhelming. The reason I didn't PM you on this is that there is a shorting angle on this. At some point within the next 1..2 years, CC is going to have to take a 200 million charge on DiVX--just a matter of carefully watching the tea leaves and figuring out when to short this horrendous concept.
